The Soulard School actively values the city and sees it as a place of learning, rich with resources and full of opportunities, and we tap into neighborhood and human capital as a source of energy.

Our approach to education and community engagement demands a resourcefulness born of creativity, flexibility and grit. Among other urban activities, classes walk to public parks and utilize the Soulard Farmers’ Market. By incorporating all the elements of the neighborhood, our students see that everything they need is available and possible with and within their community. Our community partnerships with Soulard organizations like Gene Slay’s Girls and Boys Club, BWorks and Together Credit Union directly support the school’s educational programs.
